  International Society of Acrylic Painters: The National Acrylic Painters' Association evolved from the concept that acrylic paint is still largely unrecognized in its own right. Oil and watercolor paints started from the same premise, with the origin and the history of each giving them distinct characteristics and goals, as well as their own organizations and societies. It should therefore follow that acrylic paint should have equal status as a new and developing medium.

  Pastel Society of the West Coast: PSWC was organized in 1984 to promote pastel artists and the soft pastel medium by offering information about the Pastel Medium, Pastels Only Exhibitions in International Open & Membership Shows, and Demonstrations by Recognized Pastel Artists. A newsletter for pastel artists is included with PSWC membership and all pastellists are invited to join the Society.
   
  Calgary Photographic Society: The Society operates year-round, holding one regular meeting on the first Wednesday of every month except for July and August when field trips are normally planned.  The regular meetings feature a speaker and a print competition ("critique").  Besides these meetings, the Society also holds workshops and outings.

  International Mezzotint Society: The International Mezzotint Society (I.M.S.) was established in 1997 by Dr. A. David Crown. There are more than 80 members internationally.
